Sugar Belle Luxurious Matte Lip Cream

Assalamualaikum (Peace Be Upon You) Everyone. I am back with a new product review, Sugar Belle Luxurious Matte Lip Cream from Sugar Belle Cosmetics. The product is a home grown brand from, the country next to mine, Malaysia. Sugar Belle Cosmetics is a collaboration between two inspiring ladies for Muslimah fashion, Eyqa Sulaiman (Sugarscarf) and Belle Al-Yahya (Bella Ammara).

When it comes to lip products, I am a firm believer of high-end lip products (because of the high price you pay for, hence the high quality, most of the time). However, there are some great high-street lip products that I have found too, there are not many in Singapore, but there are some great ones out there.  Initially, I was skeptical about the lip creams when I first got them. Having tried the lip creams, I am glad to say that Sugar Belle Lip Creams surpassed by expectations and they do not disappoint!

Packaging
The lip creams come in a sleek black textured box with gold stripes and branding. The quality of the box gives the product a luxurious look and feel. The body of the lip creams are made of plastic, a little disappointing given how the luxurious the box was. The brand "Sugar Belle" printed on the plastic tube fades away after a short while.

Colors
Sugar Belle Matte Lip Creams comes in 5 different shades. I find it a little lack of choices. However, you can always mix the colors to get the perfect color combination or create an ombre effect.

Application
Sugar Belle Lip Creams uses a doe-foot applicator. The consistency and formula made it easy to apply. It apply effortlessly and smooth. The colors took some time to settle before you could see the beautiful matte finish. Im amazed at how pigmented these colors are. While freshly applied, the colors transferred on to my teeth (only the reds). Once the color settles down, there were no staining of my teeth. The colors lasted longer than 7 hours (Yes I timed it!) with eating and drinking.

The texture and products reminds me a lot of Nyx's Matte Lip cream, but this applies more evenly.
Surprisingly, the matte finish is not drying and is in fact really moisturising and hydrating. This is particularly important for me as I have extremely dried and chapped lips, the Nyx's leave my lips chapped at the end of the day.

Scent
The Sugar Belle Luxurious Matte Lip Creams has a sweet candy smell. Personally, I don't really like the smell. I find it overwhelming. But to those who love sweet, fruity and sugary scent, you will love this lip cream. For those who don't, no worries, you just have to endure till it dries down and the smell is not as noticeable.

These luxurious lip creams are priced RM49 or SGD18. The price is a tad on the high as compared to other popular lip creams such as NYX's.

Where to buy?

You can purchase these Sugar Belle Matte Lip creams via:

My Overall Thoughts

The luxurious packaging will definitely attracts buyer's attention. However, the plastic casing of the lip cream was a bit let down. It was pleasantly surprising that the well pigmented matte lip creams were extremely hydrating in comparison to the many matte lip creams from big brands in the market. I would put this on par with NYX's collection. The lack for choice of colors is a let down for an otherwise excellent product from Sugar Belle. I hope they will release more colors in soon.

I give Sugar Belle Luxurious Matte Lip creams a 4/5 rating.

My sincere best wishes to Sugar Belle for the excellent job done with the lip creams and Insya'Allah for a successful future ahead.

See you again next time. Muackz!

xoxo

Not many people are, so it shouldn't be an embarrassment saying that you are not. Internet marketing can be hard and even confusing. At least, it seems to be for the novice who just wants to get as many people as possible to see their website. What is the answer to this dilemma? You know you have to market in order to be seen by as many people as possible. So to get the most out of your marketing dollar, you can take one of two actions. Let's look at them.

  4. Hi, I am from Singapore too! Thanks for the honest review :) Been eyeing these lippies for quite a while but I am kinda deterred by the cost of the new lippies heh. For a new brand, i honestly think it's quite pricey :( Wanna ask you do these Sugarbelle lippies transfer? I have super dry lips too but i personally prefer lippies that are not drying yet not too glossily transferable (if you get what i mean) :)

    1. Hi Juwi! I have super dry lips, but this does not dry my lips at all (the nyx one does) and I always applies lipbalm before using any of my lipsticks. Only the reds transfer to my teeth abit, the rest of the colours did not. But once it dries, it doesn't move and its matte. Maybe you try one first. I would recommend going for the nudes. They have more nude range now. :) hope this helps! thank you for reading my blog!
